Zelda Breath of the Wild Cheat Codes, Rupee Farming, and Shrine Guide

Best Zelda Breath of the Wild rupee farming loops, cooking exploits, shrine tips, and weapon durability tricks for Nintendo Switch.

Breath of the Wild does not have traditional cheat codes. The game contains rupee farming loops, cooking exploits, and durability tricks that give you a significant resource advantage throughout the entire game.

FASTEST RUPEE FARMING METHODS

Rare Ore Farming:
Smash ore deposits across the map using remote bombs or two-handed weapons.
Luminous Stones sell for 70 rupees each at Zora's Domain.
Diamonds sell for 500 rupees each at any general store.
A single mountain area ore run takes 8 minutes and gives 10 to 20 Luminous Stones plus 1 to 3 Diamonds.
Net value per run: 700 to 2,900 rupees.

Lynel Farming:
Lynels drop Lynel Hooves, Guts, and Horns worth 100 to 300 rupees each.
Save before every Lynel fight, collect all drops, and reload to respawn the Lynel.
Blood Moon respawns all Lynels automatically every 7 in-game days.
Three Lynel kills give 600 to 1,800 rupees in sellable drops.

Selmie's Snowball Bowling:
Play the Snowball Bowling minigame at Hebra Peak Lodge.
A perfect score (10 pins, 2 balls) gives a Silver Rupee worth 100 rupees.
Each game costs 20 rupees. Net profit per perfect game: 80 rupees.
With consistent perfect scores, you earn 800 rupees per 10 minutes.

COOKING EXPLOIT FOR INFINITE HEARTS

Combine 5 Hearty Truffles in a cooking pot.
This creates a Hearty Mushroom Skewer that gives 20 temporary bonus hearts.
You get 20 temporary hearts regardless of your current permanent heart count.
Farm Hearty Truffles from Akkala and Eldin regions. Each region has 8 to 12 per Blood Moon cycle.

WEAPON DURABILITY TRICKS

Weapons break permanently in Breath of the Wild. These methods reduce weapon loss.

Flurry Rush: When an enemy telegraphs an attack, dodge at the last second to trigger a Flurry Rush.
Flurry Rush hits deal damage without consuming your equipped weapon's durability.
A single Flurry Rush on a Lynel deals 6 to 10 free hits.

Attack from Horseback: Mounted attacks do not consume weapon durability.
Ride through enemy camps and swing freely without losing durability on your equipped weapons.

SHRINE COMPLETION PRIORITY

There are 120 shrines in the base game. Completing groups of 4 shrines gives a Spirit Orb set for health or stamina upgrades.

Priority shrines for new players:
Oman Au Shrine (Great Plateau): Tutorial shrine. Gives Magnesis Rune.
Ja Baij Shrine (Great Plateau): Gives Remote Bombs Rune.
Owa Daim Shrine (Great Plateau): Gives Stasis Rune.
Keh Namut Shrine (Great Plateau): Gives Cryonis Rune.

Complete all 4 Great Plateau shrines to receive the Paraglider from the King. Without the Paraglider, you cannot leave the starting area.

After the Great Plateau, target shrines that give Spirit Orbs for stamina first. Stamina lets you climb longer, swim farther, and glide without stopping. Two stamina upgrades improve exploration speed by 40 percent over two heart upgrades.
