SEN FARMING METHODS (ALL PLATFORMS)

Fastest Sen farm in the game:
Location: Fountainhead Palace, Feeding Grounds Idol.
Target: The Great Colored Carp.

Steps:
1. Rest at the Feeding Grounds Idol.
2. Speak to the NPC and feed the Carp with Precious Bait.
3. Receive 5,000 Sen each time you feed it.
4. Rest at the Idol to reset.
5. Repeat.

Each loop takes 20 seconds and gives 5,000 Sen.
In 10 minutes, you earn 150,000 Sen.

Mid-game farming alternative:
Location: Ashina Castle, Upper Tower Antechamber Idol.
Target: Two Blue Samurai guards near the staircase.

Each guard drops 85 Sen on death.
Both guards die in 3 to 5 hits each.
One loop takes 25 seconds and gives 170 Sen.
In 10 minutes, you earn approximately 4,000 Sen.

POSTURE SYSTEM FUNDAMENTALS

Every enemy and boss in Sekiro has a Posture bar alongside their health.
Filling the Posture bar triggers a Deathblow, killing or severely damaging the target instantly.

Key posture mechanics:
Deflecting attacks fills the enemy's posture faster than dodging.
Enemies recover posture when they are not under attack pressure.
Bosses with low health recover posture slower. Deal some health damage before focusing on posture.
The Ashina Cross skill from the Ashina Esoteric Text fills posture by 30 percent per successful hit.

BOSS KILL STRATEGIES

Genichiro Ashina:
Deflect every arrow in his opening sequence. Each deflected arrow fills his posture by 8 percent.
Use the Firecracker prosthetic tool to stagger him mid-combo.
His second phase (Way of Tomoe) adds lightning attacks. Jump and press attack at peak of his lightning to redirect it back at him for instant posture damage.

Lady Butterfly:
Stay in her face at all times. Distance triggers her illusion attacks which deal high posture damage to you.
Use Snap Seed items to cancel her illusion phase immediately.
Her posture fills faster than her health recovers. Deflect 10 consecutive attacks to end the fight.

Isshin the Sword Saint (final boss):
Phase 1: Treat him identically to Genichiro. Deflect everything.
Phase 2: His spear has longer range than his sword. Back away one step before deflecting spear thrusts.
Phase 3: His fire attacks leave a burn window of 3 seconds. Land 2 hits during each fire animation.

SKILL PRIORITY

Buy these skills from the Sculptors Idol skill trees first:
Mikiri Counter: Counters all thrust attacks for massive posture damage. Available from the Shinobi Arts tree for 1 Skill Point.
Whirlwind Slash: Hits multiple enemies simultaneously. Clears group encounters in 2 uses.
Shadowrush: High-damage thrust attack. Pairs with Mikiri Counter for a read-and-punish loop against any thrust-heavy boss.
