Mortal Kombat 1 stores its cheats inside the Krypt, Invasion Mode, and the in-game unlockable system. There are no button-combo cheat codes like older Mortal Kombat titles. The progression system rewards players who know where to spend their resources.

INVASION MODE GUIDE
Invasion Mode is the single-player progression mode in MK1. It resets each season with new content, rewards, and story chapters.
Fastest Invasion Mode completion:
1. Use a character with fast combo strings, not heavy damage. Speed clears each board node faster.
2. Skip optional combat nodes when possible. They cost more time than the XP they give.
3. Complete the Klue puzzles on each mesa. Each Klue gives a rare cosmetic reward.
4. Spend Seasonal Koins at the Shrine first before using them on chest nodes.
Klue Solutions (Season 4):
Klue 1: "KLASSIC" answer. Perform a classic Fatality (no meter) to solve it.
Klue 2: "BRUTALIZE" answer. Land a Brutality finish using the character shown on the Klue tile.
Klue 3: "KAMEO" answer. Use a specific Kameo fighter listed in the Klue description.
KOINS AND DRAGON KRYSTALS FARMING
Koins are the standard currency. Dragon Krystals are the premium currency.
Fastest Koin sources:
Complete all Tower of Time challenges. Each tower gives 5,000 to 15,000 Koins on first clear.
Play Invasion Mode daily. Each session gives 20,000 to 40,000 Koins from node rewards.
Log in daily for the daily login reward. Consecutive logins give up to 5,000 Koins per day.
Free Dragon Krystals:
Complete the Tutorial challenges in the Learn section. Total reward: 500 Dragon Krystals.
Complete the Seasonal Invasion Mode to 100 percent. Total reward: 750 to 1,000 Dragon Krystals per season.
Log in for 30 consecutive days. You receive 1,000 Dragon Krystals as a loyalty reward.
RANKED MODE TIPS
Spend 30 minutes in Training Mode before each ranked session practicing your top two punishers.
Punishers are your highest-damage combos that start from a crouching medium punch.
Every character has at least one punisher that starts from crouch medium. Find yours and practice it to muscle memory.
In ranked below Gold rank, the majority of losses come from missed punish opportunities, not outplayed neutral.
