Inscryption on PC supports a console command through a launch argument. The game's three acts each have distinct mechanics. Understanding the Bone Token system in Act 1 and the card power hierarchy in Act 2 removes most of the difficulty from the game.
PC CONSOLE COMMANDS
Add -dev to your Steam launch options.
Launch the game and press the tilde key (~) to open the console.
Available commands:
GiveGold 100 (adds 100 Gold for Act 2 purchases)
AddCard [card name] (adds any card to your deck by name)
SetBones 999 (sets your Bone Token count to 999)
Heal (restores your full health in the current battle)

BONE TOKEN STRATEGY FOR ACT 1
Bone Tokens generate when any creature on your side dies. You spend them on cards with Bone costs.
Core Bone strategy:
Build your deck around low-cost creatures that die quickly.
Each dead creature gives 1 Bone Token.
Sacrifice three 0-cost squirrels to generate 3 Bone Tokens, then immediately play Skelengeck (costs 3 Bones) for free.
Skelengeck plus Stinky sigil (reduces enemy attack when adjacent) creates a near-unstoppable defensive combination.
Best Bone-cost cards:
Skelengeck (3 Bones): 1 Power, 3 Health. Reliable blocker with Stinky sigil available.
Gravedigger (2 Bones): 0 Power, 3 Health. Generates 1 Bone Token each turn it survives.
Revenant (4 Bones): 3 Power, 1 Health. Highest attack-per-Bone-cost in the game.
Sigil priority:
Sharp Quills sigil: Deals 1 damage to attacker when hit. Place this on your 0-cost blockers.
Bone King sigil: Generates 4 Bone Tokens when the creature dies. Stack this with high-health creatures.
Unkillable sigil: Returns the creature to your hand when it dies. Gives infinite Bone Tokens with any creature.
ACT 2 CARD GUIDE
Act 2 uses a pixel RPG format with four factions: Leshy (nature), Grimora (death), Magnificus (magic), and P03 (technology).
Top-tier Act 2 cards:
Leshy faction:
Amalgam: Highest base power of any nature card. Costs 4 Blood.
River Otter: 2 Power, 1 Health, Waterborne sigil. Untargetable until it attacks.
Grimora faction:
Revenant: Bone cost, high power, returns to hand on death.
Skeleton: 1 Power, 1 Health, 0 Bone cost. Spawns a Bone Token on death. Best low-cost card in the game.
P03 faction:
Sniper Bot: Targets any enemy card directly. Bypasses full rows and defensive formations.
Insectodrone: 1 Power, Flying sigil. Attacks the back row directly, bypassing all front-row blockers.
ACT 1 CABIN ESCAPE PUZZLES
The cabin contains four puzzles that progress the story and unlock permanent upgrades.
Safe puzzle:
The combination is written on the cards in your deck at the start of the game.
Look at the sigil icons on three specific cards. Each icon corresponds to a number on the safe.
The combination changes per playthrough but always uses cards dealt in your opening hand.
Clock puzzle:
Set the clock to the time shown on the painting above the fireplace.
The painting changes each time you reset after a boss death.
Correct clock time gives you a Cuckoo Clock item that adds 3 extra Bone Tokens to your starting pool.
Dagger puzzle:
The dagger sits in front of Leshy. Take it before your final boss fight.
Using the dagger during Leshy's boss fight deals 5 direct damage to Leshy, skipping his final phase entirely.
