Hogwarts Legacy does not have a built-in cheat console on console versions. PC players get access to a cheat menu through the Unlocker mod. All platforms have exploits, secrets, and progression shortcuts worth knowing.
FASTEST GOLD FARMING METHOD
The Brood and Peck shop exploit is the fastest gold method in the game.
Steps:
1. Rescue magical beasts from Poacher dens across the map.
2. Breed them in your Vivarium using two beasts of the same species.
3. Collect beast materials from the breeding pairs daily.
4. Sell materials to Brood and Peck in Hogsmeade.
Each breeding pair produces materials worth 300 to 500 gold per in-game day.
With 10 breeding pairs active, you earn 3,000 to 5,000 gold per day passively.
Shiny beast materials sell for 3x the standard price.
HOW TO GET SHINY BEASTS
Save your game before interacting with any beast in the wild.
Check if the beast spawns as a shiny variant.
If not, reload the save and try again.
Shiny variants appear at approximately 1 in 12 spawn rate.
This method works on all platforms including PS5 and Xbox.
PC CHEAT MOD (UNLOCKER)
Download the Hogwarts Legacy Unlocker from Nexus Mods.
Install it to your game folder and launch the game.
Press F1 during gameplay to open the cheat menu.
Available cheats:
- Infinite gold
- Infinite health
- Infinite spell charges
- All spells unlocked
- No detection during Revelio
Always back up your save before using any mod.
BEST SPELL COMBINATIONS FOR COMBAT
Combo 1: Control and Kill
Accio, then Levioso, then Avada Kedavra.
This sequence pulls the enemy, suspends them, and kills them in three inputs.
Works on every non-boss enemy in the game.
Combo 2: Ancient Magic Finisher Setup
Depulso, then Wingardium Leviosa, then Ancient Magic Throw.
Knocks back, suspends, and triggers your Ancient Magic meter for a finishing attack.
This is the fastest way to fill and spend your Ancient Magic bar.
Combo 3: Group Control
Glacius on the largest enemy group, then Diffindo on any frozen enemy.
Frozen enemies shatter for triple damage from Diffindo.
One cast of each spell clears groups of 6 to 8 standard enemies.
MERLIN TRIAL SOLUTIONS BY TYPE
Type 1: Stone ball puzzle. Roll all stone balls into the circular indentation using Wingardium Leviosa.
Type 2: Moth swarm puzzle. Use Lumos to guide all moth swarms to their stone pillars simultaneously.
Type 3: Orb destruction puzzle. Use Confringo or Incendio on all floating orbs before the timer expires.
Type 4: Statue restoration puzzle. Use Reparo on all broken statues in the area.
Completing all 95 Merlin Trials gives you the maximum inventory size of 40 slots.

Field Guide Pages give you XP and unlock spells faster than any other method.
Use Revelio constantly while exploring every room in Hogwarts.
Revelio has a 15-meter radius. Walk through every corridor slowly.

Collect all library pages in one visit before the story locks you out of the area.
