Doom Eternal includes a built-in cheat system. You collect cheat codes as physical items hidden throughout the campaign missions. Each code activates a specific modifier for replaying missions.
HOW TO ACTIVATE CHEATS
Cheat codes appear as floppy disks hidden in each mission level.
Collect a disk to permanently add it to your cheat code collection.
From the main menu, select Mission Select, then choose any completed mission.
Before launching, go to Cheats and toggle any collected codes on.
Cheats work in campaign missions only. They do not work in Battlemode or Master Levels.
CHEAT CODE LOCATIONS BY MISSION
Mission 1 (Hell on Earth):
Infinite Lives disk: Located on a ledge above the starting area, accessible after the first combat encounter. Jump to the right platform before dropping into the arena.
Mission 2 (Exultia):
Unkillable disk: In the castle section, look for a hidden room behind a breakable wall near the first shield soldier encounter.
Mission 3 (Cultist Base):
Instant Stagger disk: In the outdoor area with the ice caves, climb the left wall to find a hidden ledge with the disk.
Mission 4 (Doom Hunter Base):
All Runes disk: Located in the recycling center area, inside a locked room. Shoot the vent above the door to enter.
Mission 5 (Super Gore Nest):
Infinite Ammo disk: In the blood swamp section, look for a floating platform to the left of the main path.
WHAT EACH CHEAT DOES
Infinite Lives: You never go to the death screen. The level continues even if your health drops to zero.
Unkillable: You take no damage from any source.
Instant Stagger: Every hit you land immediately staggers the enemy, enabling constant glory kills.
All Runes: Every rune is active simultaneously regardless of your equipped slot count.
Infinite Ammo: All weapons fire without consuming ammo.
Fully Upgraded Suit: All Praetor Suit perks active from the start of the mission.
Infinite Equipment: Equipment items like grenades and ice bombs never run out.
Silver Bullet Mode: Staggers all demons with a single hit from the Ice Bomb.
Powerup Mode Onslaught: Every arena starts with an Onslaught powerup active.
Famine Mode: Enemies drop no health or armor, making the mission a strict resource management challenge.
WEAPON UPGRADE PRIORITY
Upgrade weapons in this order for the fastest campaign completion:
1. Ballista with Arbalest modification: One-shots Cacodemons and Arachnotrons instantly.
2. Rocket Launcher with Remote Detonation: Allows mid-air explosion control for corner kills.
3. Combat Shotgun with Full Auto modification: Fastest DPS at close range for standard encounters.
4. Plasma Rifle with Microwave Beam: Locks down Whiplashes and Arch-Viles for 4 seconds.
NIGHTMARE DIFFICULTY TIPS
Every demon deals 2x damage on Nightmare. Standard enemies one-shot you by mission 4.
Survival fundamentals:
Never stand still. Constant movement reduces your chance of taking a hit by 60 percent.
Prioritize Mancubi and Arachnotrons first in every encounter. They deal the most sustained damage.
Use the Ice Bomb on every Marauder fight. It stops his shield temporarily.
Chainsaw one fodder enemy per major encounter for a full ammo refill.
Use the Crucible Sword on Tyrants only. Its 3 charges are too valuable for standard enemies.
